| Feed units
are common to all the screwdriving systems. The feed unit needed
will usually be determined by the size of screw. In some cases
the bowl capacity might also be a concern. Optional screw hoppers
are available to increase apacity. Custom feed units are
available. Call with details for quote. |

GENERAL
INFORMATION
Assembly
Automation builds a variety of feed systems depending upon screw
size and length. Screw sizes from #0 through 5/16 bolts
are fed. A minimum head length ratio of 1.5/1 is a good
guide for all blowfeed systems. A shorter screw tends
to jam in the feed tubes and head tooling.
All Assembly Automation feed units use oversized heavy drives
mounted on stable bases. This provides steady even feed
rates regardless of bowl level. Bowls are hard plastic
lined for durability and low noise outputs |
- All track
and escapment tooling is hardened tool
steel
- Steel sound
deadening enclosures with hinged access doors are standard.
- Multi
Feed systems use divertors to feed two, three or four screws
per escapement.
- Bulk Feed
Hoppers provide addiotional screws for high production machines.
